PHILLIES BREWERS 3rd INNING...

So instead of just padding my posting stats I'll do it inning by inning.

First 2 innings were great for the pitchers... Also I'm quickly realizing I'm not at all qualified to be doing a live blog without a baseball guy explaining some stuff to me. Really football I understand and can fake my way through, baseball is just too much for me

RICHIE WEEKS- Cole Hamels gets his 4th K.

Hamels done a great job of not letting last season get to him, its great to watch Hamels do what I know he is capable of doing.

JASON KENDALL- Flied out to center. Can we clone Hamels? I mean seriosuly 2 Hamels Moyer, Myers on a good day and me as the rotation will be just about unbeatable.

GALLARDO- DEEP HIT to Left, Burrell got him. Dear Mother Nature and city planners, thanks for putting the Bank at a spot where the wind will totally switch on a dime.

TOP IS OVER. Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure Hamels has only thrown 25 pitches so far.

PHILLIES TURN

CARLOS RUIZ- I like Ruiz. He seems like the kind fo guy that will be able to hold on to be a solid catcher for a decade or so. BASE HIT. Alright who had CARLOS RUIZ getting the first hit on the game.

COLE HAMELS- Bunts, Weeks bobbled it tossed it to first and prince couldn't hang onto it. SAFE. We got ourselves something to think about.

JIMMY ROLLINS- 2 on, 0 outs for last years MVP, popped out to left. DAMN WIND

JAYSON WERTH- He will either hit a homer run or strike out. The announcers let us know it will be a double play, Werth has hit into 2 in 2 seasons. Thanks for that bastards. Announcers really need to stop doing that to players, you ALWAYS hear them mention stupid stuff like that. Especially kickers in football. STRIKE OUT.

CHASE UTLEY- Alright Mr lovable. Earn your paycheck. I have to admit so far through these 3 innings Gallardo has done a pretty damn good job. 2 walks, 1 base hit and a terrible defensive play are the 4 baserunners. Oh good, TBS is letting us know that Howard, Utley and Rollins went 0-11 8ks in game 1 last year. Trust me we know. BASE HIT TO CENTER, RUIZ AND HAMELS SCORE PHILLIES UP 2-0, CHASE UTLEY I WOULD LIKE TO BUY YOU A HOOKER OR A DRINK, YOUR CALL. Cameron got screwed on that play, although he did have it in his glove, still tough play.

RYAN MVP HOWARD- All I'm saying is you cant spell Ryan Howard without HR. Oh ok they will intentionally walk him.

PAT THE BIG BAT BURRELL- 2 on, 2 out. A base hit is all you need, don't be greedy. There are way to many smiles in the stands, I'm not used to it. Burrell's contract is up after this season, that's a tough call to resign him or not. I would probably not, not because he's on the down slope or anything I just think it's time to move on. GREAT AT BAT by BURRELL so far, 3-2 pitch, I think we are on the 9th or 10th pitch of this at bat. WALKED BASES LOADED.

SHANE THE FLYIN HAWAIIAN VICTORINO- 10 for 32 with the bases loaded which is really good. 2-0 pitch, took one right in the middle. The biggest thing for me about baseball is its the only sport where 33% success rate is a great thing. 3-1 pitch its going to be outside and vic should get the walk. UTLEY SCORES. 3-0

Gallardo is slowly falling apart. Someone needs to come out and stop this.
